URGENTLY NEEDED

  • Part-time Project Worker – (Asian Men’s Mental Health project)
  • £200 per day (1 day per week)
  • 9 months fixed contract

The successful candidate will have previous experience of mental health (MH) related issues, of engaging and supporting men and particularly working within Asian communities.

Postholder will be responsible for developing:

  • A short educational video film, led by and featuring Asian men to create awareness of Asian men and MH
  • a pilot volunteer run Podcast on Asian men and MH issues
  • public ‘conversations’ and engaging local Asian men & communities on Men’s MH related matters
  • a local Consortium to develop longer-term project to support men suffering MH crises/episodes.

Applicants must have experience and ability to:

  • Work with and engage local men and community groups on MH issues
  • Recruit support and engage volunteers to support project activities
  • Build relationships with local community groups and foster collaborative working
  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of project activities
  • You MUST be able to complete an educational documentary film on ‘Asian Men and MH’ within 9 months.

You must be willing to work flexible hour including weekends.
